I was wondering if there is any removal or loosening of bolts in the left front driveshaft carrier support during a clutch install.

I had my clutch installed recently, and within 4 days my left front driveshaft support gave out and I had to replace my constant velocity driveshaft.

Basically, I was wondering if there is any possibility that the shop that installed my new clutch forgot to correctly tighten or put on the bolts that secure the left front driveshaft carrier support. If there is, then I assume the shop is responsible for the damages? If they are, then what actions can I take against them?

Also, I was told by the manager of the Midas shop that replaced the CV Driveshaft that it's possible that my transmission seal is damaged.

On top of that, my speedometer has been inoperative since I got it back, I have gone back a couple times, with no results.

Any advice?

Thanks, Phya

Mine have broke four times now. I don't know if you need to remove them for the clutch job though.

As for the seal just watch under your car for leaking gear lube. If it's leaking bad it will be pretty easy to notice. Chances are it's OK.

Hrm. okay, well, thanks.

Does anyone know if it is require to remove it to change the clutch though?

Thanks, Phya
