Sorry, but I think you might run into some problems.

What isn't allowed:

Absolutely no photos of other cars (must be a DSM - Eclipses, Talons, Lasers and Galants only, and it must be YOURS).

I think Starquests should be allowed, even though it was before Diamond-Star, it's still a turbo Mitsu made for Chrysler.

The confusion is your choice of terms in "profile".

If you meant signature, then that's okay:

Only ONE non-animated photo of your DSM is allowed - no other vehicle photos should be posted unless you DO NOT own a DSM. In that case only, we will allow a small photo of your primary vehicle. Dimensions of your photo must be no larger than 250 pixels wide and 250 pixels tall. The filesize cannot exceed 50k.


If you meant gallery, then no, it's not okay:

What is allowed:
Exterior, interior and engine bay shots of your own DSM (Eclipses, Talons, Lasers and Galants only).

What isn't allowed:

Absolutely no photos of other cars (must be a DSM - Eclipses, Talons, Lasers and Galants only, and it must be YOURS).

And no, I have no idea how anything so straightforward can be made even slightly complicated.

who is the person that runs and or started this site or whatever cause i would like to get a ruling from an offical. i dont want to piss anyone off by putting them on here but it is a mitsubishi. What does DSM stand for Diamond Star Motors. Read this and tell me what you think. "The beginnings of Diamond Star Motors started in the 1970s, when Chrysler and Mitsubishi first began collaborating."....."Mitsubishi came to Chrysler's rescue in 1985, forming Diamond Star Motors. A joint effort by Mitsubishi (three diamonds) and the Chrysler Corporation (penta-star) to build some of the most incredible automobiles in the world. The vehicles were produced with the names Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Plymouth Laser. DSM cars are assembled in Normal, Illinois. The '94-and-up Mitsubishi Galant is also assembled at the DSM plant in IL; previous Galant's were assembled in Japan. The Eclipse and Galant (since '89) share the same platform.

^straight from the vfaq. I have look many a times at my g/f's Conquest and have never seen a "DSM" id tag. Some of the avengers that have mitsu motors do have the DSM plate however.

i dont want to piss anyone off by putting them on here but it is a mitsubishi.

It won't piss anyone off, but it may be deleted. Oddly, the ones who wind up being pissed-off seem to be the people whose stuff was changed because they broke site rules. Damndest phenomenon.
Mitsubishi also builds electronics, appliances, heavy machinery and fine ships. This isn't the forum for any of those, either. Despite T/E/Ls having turning circles like ships.

Specifically, correct. In terms of this site, irrelevant. This place is for Lasers, Eclipses, and Talons. But no further than the second-generation cars. It's clearly delineated on the bottom of the Home Page here.

well this issue in specific seems pretty lame. more like a rule for the sake of having a rule. i can see someone using the gallery as the own little image hoster for hondas being prohibited, but a regular poster that wants to have pics of his car in his profile.. who gives a poop if its not an eclipse.. we all know what they look like. yeah its yer site you will do what you want blah blah, doesnt change the fact that its a bit.. well, more then a bit actually, inane.
