Conquest 4g63 exhaust manifold Input Needed

hey guys, just wanted to start off by saying Happy Thanksgiving!

Some of you know im swapping in a 4G63 motor in my 88 Chrysler conquest tsi. Now one of the problems i am having is finding a Exhaust manifold. My turbo is a T3/T4 and since its going into a RWD car the turbo will be facing the opposite direction than all of your cars. Now since it is RWD there is TONS of room in the engine bay. I dont want the typical bottom mount manifold. I would love to get a side mount or a top mount. I might have to get a bottom mount which just doesnt look that good, its hidden behind the power steering pump. who knows, ill probably have to make a header myself

Go with a Top mount and show it off. You can make the room.

I've always loved the Conquests/Starions.

thanks man thats what i was thinking. I definately want a top mount, does anyone already make one that you know of?

I'm using a pacesetter on my 16g turbo on my mightymax. Ofcourse the top mount would look a lot better though.

Custom never is if you pay someone else to do the work. I certainly don't have the skills to make one myself. That's why I kept it simple. If I upgrade mines it would be a bolt on application but again that would be me. Heard some good things about the link above.

Hey guys what do you think about this? Ok you guys know I want a top mount...what if I bought a manifold like this...

...and then I just cut the pipes off at the header flange, and then i just flip the header exhaust flange and then re-weld it?!
I have a hunch that it will work, except i have to make sure that the length between each cylinder exhaust port is the same...

^^^ It would still be a junk manifold when it's all said and done. You need to spend some real money to get a properly built, well performing manifold. thanks dude, that is exactly what i have been looking for, but DANG!, that is a lot of money! Why do they charge so much for a manifold? It looks like iff be saving my money

That's about the going rate for a nice sch-10 manifold. They're expensive to build, and very time consuming. I'm about half way through a top-mount header build for a RWD 2G and I have a new found respect for fabricators that crank out several manifolds per week. It's tedious work. It takes some serious time to reshape these pipes and change angles, not to mention the cost of raw materials.
