I'm rebuilding my engine and I'm just putting it back to stock. I have two sets of rods and they have different codes on them. One set had g6o the other set is g6w.

Is there a difference between these? any info would be great.

any ideas?

if they are all the same why did they have different codes? was it just something for production date or somehting along that line?

As for the stampings I don't know, but I personally (and many others) have used (and abused!) turbo and non turbo 6 bolt rods, I've read from many members (and shops) that all 6 bolt rods are the same. The question is, what are you trying to find out? (If your just wondering about the casting numbers / letters, listen to the words of the owl (not sure if you guys have ever seen the tootsie pop commercial where the little kid asks' the owl how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of the tootsie pop), "The world may never know" :)
