Confused

Ok last night my car wouldn't start and it was making some strange noises. Today it starts and i drove it around and the only difference is there is more of a knock than there was yesterday. But its not like spun bearing knock its just a light knock and its confusing because it ran fine for but it has the knock. Is this the start of a major problem here or what is going on. It stoped making the scratching sound but was replaced with a knock... Now what I just had the motor rebuilt

Does the motor still have balance shafts in? It could be one of those bearings, that is what was up with my car.

Open the hood with the car running and try to narrow down the location of the noise. If necessary, use a screwdriver as a stethoscope. Hard to guess what it is without knowing where it's at.
