Well as some of you may i know, i bought a used 7 Bolt 4G63T with 20k miles out of a 99 GST. Ever since i bought it, ive noticed blue smoke come out at idle at times and whenever you rev it. Let me go back a little, when my last engine went kaboom thanks to a bottom end knock, so did my turbo, i believe it blew a turbo seal, so i replaced it with another t-25 (for now). The first turbo had abnormally awefull shaft play. Well weeks after the new turbo, it still smoked at times, however it doesnt do it anymore at idle, it only does it when i rev it. I compression Tested the motor today and got the following numbers:

184, 181, 182, 182

So that means i can eliminate the piston rings and pistons. And possibly the valve stem seals. Im prediciting maybe it is just the oil left in the intercooler (thanx to the blown turbo) and its burning off day by day causing a puff of smoke. My Engine runs absolutely fine. And for those who said they were 100% certain it was a blown headgasket and that i must be dumb for not listening, even after i explained the situation, well the compression numbers arent lieing are they?. Just thought id let you all know the compression numbers because i remember awhile back i said i would do a compression test. If anyone has any ideas, or suggestions, please throw them in.
 
I second the turbo theory. If you other turbo blew, clean your intercooler with either gasoline or denatured alcohol. MAKE SURE THE INTERCOOLER HAS DRIED BEFORE INSTALLING AND CRANKING THE MOTOR. Also check the current turbo for shaft play as well.
 
Thats what i was planning on doing. My buddy just got a FMIC and he is giving me his Super Sidemount Intercooler, and all the piping in a trade for my previous Fresh Rebuilt head. Im gonna see how it turns out, if it still smokes after awhile, than obviously i got a problem somewhere. Unfortunately, i never cleaned the intercooler after the blown turbo seal so its hard to tell right now why its smoking. But I doubt its the turbo, the turbo when it was installed had no shaft play. It spools up fine, but i know that doesnt mean it couldnt be bad. I just believe it probably isnt the turbo..but it could be..im just gonna do one thing at a time and move forward precisely and carefully. If it is the turbo blown once again ( :mad: ), thatll give me a great excuse to move onto something ive always wanted, a evo 16g. :thumb:
