compression test?

I have a 93 eagle talon tsi and i am going to be doing a compression test soon, what psi am i looking for per cylinder?

I would be concerned with anything less than 135, also anything over 145 is good, 150 is normal. They should all be between 10-15 of each other as well.

and actually its 15%, the lowest cylinder must be no more than 15% less than the highest cylinder to be in-spec, according to alldata. so if your highest is 170 your lowest cant be any lower than 144.

Alldata is incorrect. The factory limit is 14 psi difference. The compression limit is 114 psi on a turbo car.

1g motors have low compression from the get go. So from what I've seen on a 1g motor, 150 in each cylinder is a pretty healthy.

I believe 1G's are 164 stock out of the box brand new compression

and.........2G's are 178..


Correct me if I am wrong for the long time experience owners!
