Compression Results

How are these results? I just snapped a timing belt, had the head rebuilt, new timing components, water pump, 16g turbo, exhaust manifold. I looked up other peoples results on the forum and they all seem much higher. The car runs great though.

Cyl 1-121
Cyl 2- 122
Cyl 3- 122
Cyl 4- 120

Seems low to me. You should try a different tester. My harbor freight one doesn't read accurate.

Yeah I thought it was low. Consistent but low. I am not sure if the shop did it when the car was warm or not, or WOT. I am taking it back in Monday morning and going to have them do it again.

Grab a tester from autozone or somewhere and do it yourself. It's really easy and this way you'll know it was done right.

You want to drive around and get the car to normal operating temps, then check it. Like larry said rent one from autozone or where every, (cost like 5 bucks and you get your money back when you return it) and then this way you know its done right.

Yea, these are pretty low compared to mine. I had about 165 on all 4 cyl.

Check your timing marks, line them all up.

Do seem low. But I would also try a leak down test and see if you have a valve open and which one or ones. Also would tell you condition of the rings. Just my thoughts.

With my 6 bolt and 264/272 cams undegreed I got 125psi last time I've checked it. How is your vacuum at idle??

I got 160 165 165 165 with bc 272 cams and ex cam retarded 3*. This was a warm engine, no spark plugs, and no throttle.
