So I wanted to check the overall quality of my talon it has 139k miles and amazing oil pressure. So I wanted to see if motor has been rebuilt so I did a compression test first time and didn't have car to operating temp and throttle engaged. So I redid test all plugs out motor warm and full throttle came to 135 across board first time it was 90. So today I decided to do a leak down test I just borrowed the compression tester removed the one way valve on the hose and just set regulator on comprssser to 100 psi and I brought car to tdc on 1 marks line up 3 o clock 9 o clock pins at 12 and it leaked threw the dipstick not much but some enough to hear so I went to cylinder 4 and when I pressurized the cylinder it came outta 3 . But the whole reason I was doing this I have fresh oil sometime resting on tyranny and small amount of oil coming outta oil cap . On cold starts I have blue smoke for little I suspect the valve seals need replaced so I'm trying to find out what I need to do next I know the leak down wasn't proper just testing.. thanks and I'm Thomas new to site

Well, oil on the tranny probably means VC gasket leak, unless its actually tranny fluid on top(thatd b a dif story).
Oil coming out the cap is most likely from excess crankcase pressure/pcv valve not holding/blowby/valve seals etc..
Blue smoke at startup would be a dead giveaway to bad valve seals IMO

Welcome to the site, Thomas

The valve cover under head bone dry I ran my finger.under the head gasket on rear passenger side of head and fresh oil also by thermostat housing no visual spots like u know where its coming from my compression test is it bad. The leak down any.more info thanks boost

I would say your head gasket is blown between cylinder 4 and 3.

There are different ways to blow a HG.

One is compression into the water jacket. This will mix water into the oil

Another is a cylinder to cylinder failure, compression swaps from one cylinder to an adjoining one.
So if you do a compression test/leak down on #4 you would hear air escape from #3 cylinder with the spark plug out.

Now with oil on top the trans, But the head is dry under the VC, I would wonder if the HG has been replaced. If the head was surfaced improperly, this could cause a leak in the area you are seeing oil. The oil feed port from block to head is the last stud on the pass side on the exhaust side.

I was having the same problem you were having decided to change head gasket and come to find out the two furthest head studs closest to the thermosyat housing werent even tight bevause I was getting oil on my trans also with no leaks by the vc. Now she runs perfect after I changed the hg.

yes they do the service mark says 133 psi or lower time to change out rings that is the factory specs sorry to be a bummer man

The car has amazing power and I know its leaking oil out of valve stems I've put about 2000 miles and its used about quart half it doesny smoke when warmed up if I let sit idle for 5 mins it puffs a cloudd and when.I'm into boost it smells of oil in cabin so I'm thinking turbo needs rebuilt and valve stems car only has 130k miles and with the performance stuff it has its probably been rebuilt if I get pictures could u guys help me find previous owner

so today i took the inlet pipe to turbo off to inspect for leaks there is a puddle of oil in the i c i found out i have a B16g tho
