cold start prob. (not typical)

My 96' talon esi has a very hard time starting in the cold and usually wont if its a 0deg or lower but i have a great batter and connections are great. for some reason the car fulds out right away then will not start. what i can do is unplug the injectors then try to crank it over and let the plugs burn off the excess fuel in the cylinder then pulg them back in and try it with the pedal to the floor (its the only way it even tryes to start) sometimes this works the first time and sometimes i have to repeat that step a few times i have replaced the coolant temp sensor and it has new plugs and wires and seems to have sufficiant spark and of course it is getting enough fuel but seems to get to much if any of you have any help or info please help i need this car running. thanks much

Your battery may be great, but may not have enough cold cranking amps to get the car started. From what I was told at the dealership, you need a minimum of 12 Volts to start the car. I had the same problem starting and solved it after I bought a battery warmer from Napa for $30. You just wrap it around your battery and then plug in the warmer at night into a regular electrical outlet. It helps keep the battery warm so there is hardly any loss in voltage.

it turns over great and at a great speed and hold s charge for a quite a while it just seems to flud its self out.

Come on guys i need to get this thing going so i dont have to drive my gs-t spyder in the winter cold and salty roads its not to much fun putting a bit of power to the ground summer performance tires in the cold and snow covered roads help thanks
