Coil Pack for 4g64(4g63T)?

i want to boost my ignition. i've got the plan to put on Magnecor wires on, with NGK plugs. i was wondering is there any aftermarket coil packs for these engines? my coil pack that on there now has 2 packs, both next to each other. 2 leads going to one pack.

There is also a C.O.P. setup.


What is the reasoning behind the upgraded coilpack. Something wrong with the stock stuff?

How often do you need to replace the coil packs? How would you know they are going bad?

By testing it with a meter if need be.

The stock setup is good enough for most everyone on this board. Been proven to work great enough with a nice set of wires and some good plugs. Just haven't justified changing out the whole entire system yet.


Craziest setup I have seen is a guy using 2 Chevy Lumina Packs and having it all wired to work. 2 plug wires per unit. Looked good, but he is also making over 800whp. :laugh:
