I am trying to get my bang for the buck with tranny fluid and I have read some good stuff about the Coastal 75w-90. It is supposed to be GL3/4/5 compliant but I went to Autozone and all that I can find is the GL-5 stuff. I suspect that it is still GL4 compliant because it says for top of only when used to fill LSD(s).

Any ideas?

Thanks

I know that and I am not arguing it, but my car used to belong to one of the big dogs around here and he used the Coastal 75w-90 for the same reasons I am using it. Heck they can't even answer this question over at Bobistheoilguy. If I can't get the answer I am looking for I will just do the Redline stuff.

Thanks

I just called Coastal and it is still GL-4 compliant. The fellow there assured me that it is an internal marketing issue causing it to no longer say GL-3/GL-4/GL-5.

I'll take my chances, the rest is your choice.

Thanks
