Well, lets try this again haha. What's up guys! Today seemed like a mighty fine day to do some launching.. Well first launch went great!! The others not so much.. It feels as if the cars breing pulled.. After the launch it was sluggish throughout the gears. Followed by a smell.. Not sure if its juš because I suck at launching, or could it be my clutch slipping? I usually rev to about 5k tapping the gas then letting go of the clutch. It doesn't big whatsoever.

Mods: 272 Cowler cams

Act 2100 clutch

Probably clutch slipping, specially if there was a smell after. Does it feel like the RPM's stay high but car doesn't feel like it's going that fast? If you can post a video we'll be able to tell for sure.

If it is slipping, -judging from the video-, then it's consistent and not worsened with boost. There's no obvious rpm jump without speed increase once you increase power. That usually means you need to re-adjust the clutch pedal so you don't get 2G pedal pump-up, but there's always a chance something was off with the clutch install as well, or that you are simply exceeding the torque capacity of the clutch. How long ago did you put it in? -Just now noticing any slipping?

It was installed prior to me having the car, about 4 years ago. It's highly possible that I need to readjust it, because I woke up for work This morning an I have to press the clutch all the way down. I checked and there is plenty of clutch fluid. Would a clutch that's out of adjustment make a "clutch smell"? Also, I CANNOT confirm that it is a act 2100. If it is, shouldn't these be able to take some abuse? The car is now almost stock. The previous owner had the mods removed when it was sold.

After driving it to my mechanic for my scheduled timing to be done and the petal has pressure again?..

Is it possible I jut didn't let go of the clutch early enough an that's why I smelled it?

Anyone else have any other opinions? Maybe the master cylinder is going out since it went from squishy, to solid after awhile? I'd rather it be that I didn't release the clutch early rather than needing a new clutch haha. I suppose it is what it is, just want more opinions before investing in another clutch.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm sure the smell was the clutch which ill replace, but what would cause the petal to have little pressure to normal pressure? I'm goin to bleed the lines today, anything else I should try?
