So I have a project car I got and I'm trying figure out what to do right now I'm looking at a COMPETITION CLUTCH kit. I'm no millionaire so I don't need the highest $$ clutch out their. Also do I need a flex plat? I see that people sell them for the car. But there was not flex plat with this car and all the reading I did run me around to no end, any help would be great thanks.

No.

The flex plate is for automatic torque converter, not a manual. For a manual, you will need:

1) A flywheel
2) Clutch disk (or disks and drive plates for multi-plate clutches)
3) A Pressure plate
4) A clutch alignment tool

Here are some suggestions on the type of clutch to use

Are you making stock or close to stock power? you will want to use a stock type clutch it will save your crank in the long run,be easier to daily drive and last longer.
power output dictates clutch/pressure plate requirements.yeah that monster un sprung 6puck will hold alot of power, but its not fun to drive in traffic and because of its proforrmance nature it wears out quickly.just some things to think about,

If the mods in your profile are correct and up to date i would say act clutch like a 2100 with a street disc or something to that affect
