clutch questions

whats up guys my clutch just went out in the vr4 and im looking at purchasing a new clutch kit. im still on the 14b with just some boltons and couple of fuel mods with a mbc running 15psi. im looking at getting the act 2100 clutch kit but have a few questions the clutch kit for a 1g dsm will work for the vr4 right? and ive also heard bad things about the act throw out bearing would it be ok to still use the act bearing? is there anything else i would need to get while replacing the clutch any gaskets or anything im leaving out thanks for the help guys

That was a long time ago. They've since redesigned their throwout and there's no longer any issues with it. However, for the price they go for, there's no harm in going with an OEM one anyway.

OEM throw out bearings over all others. And depending on miles maybe new clutch fork and boot to cover opening if the old one is torn or cracked.

I have always gone oem on the throwout as well.

I had a brand new out of the box revised act 2600 with 6 puck unsprung hub and used the revised act tob. Failed in 3months. Ive been running and oem for 3 years. South bend is getting pretty popular too but act products are still decent over all. You might want to look into a southbend. Your going to spend about the same as you would on a act 2100 and you will get a 2200 pressure plate with a disk capable of a lot more due too better friction materials. They just dont play well with aluminum flywheels. Do some research though everyone will tell you act for the most part but it doesnt mean its right for you.
