Before people start saying crankwalk, let me just ask a few other things. What would be the symptoms of an engine oil overfill? I am just trying to get all the possibilities cause i am having a pretty loud ticking coming from somewhere around valve cover area.Pretty sure its not lifter tick.It gets louder when accelerating softly"like a sewing machine sound" I have a pretty noticeable loss of power but no real boost guage to see if im losing boost.I am trying to keep rpms under 4k until i figure this out.For a few weeks now the clutch has been acting messed up when its cold or every once in a while it will get very mushy.I am checking the slave cylinder first but where do i go from there? I have already been reading all about it.Im just hoping for the best and asking where do i start with diagnosing. How do i find out about the ticking.I dont think i would see anything just from pulling the valve cover off.Just before i tear into this someone help as far as to where to start and what order to check things.I am checking slave cylinder first.I just replaced Master cylinder a few weeks ago.The car has loss of power at WOTand progressive ticking at the beginning of acceleration then goes away. The car doesnt die on left hand turns and the rpms dont go down when i put in the clutch. So im hoping that this is not Crankwalk. The engine has 158,000 miles on it never rebuilt.I am just looking for what to check next if the slave cylinder proves to be good and all.The clutch was acting funny for a few weeks before ticking ever happened. Is it possible that i have a bad slave cylinder and maybe lifters or valves messing up "two separate things?" Would a compression test prove anything? Thanks for any help.I guess i will check a few things out tonight and maybe bleed my clutch/check slave. Would engine oil overfill cause this? I noticed it was past the full level but not by much.Help Thanks, Travis
