All of the sudden my clutch engages right off the floor. Before I had it engage a few inches off the flow but now its just instantly off the floor. I has been doing this for a couple of days now. Could the sudden cold weather be doing this or do I need to bleed the system? The adjustment rod on the clutch pedal assembly seems fine and not moved over time. I had my ACT 2100 clutch put in a few months ago and never really abused it. Installed properly with the help of jackstransmisions.com so i know its not caused by improper clutch install.

Since you said the adjustment rod seems fine, i would make sure the system is good on fluid, then do a bleed, ensure fluid is good again, and see what happens. If its not that, crawl under there and check your slave cylinder push rod for pressure. There are how to's out there if you dont recall how to check it.

Ok the clutch fluid levels are the same since months ago. I did however change out my autozone slave cylinder to the oem one and it's still the same problem. So there's no fluid leak and a tight adjustment nut. Im guessing the cold weather but how could the weather do all of this?

P.S I been driving the car for over a week and still no change.

I changed the master cylinder and the engagement point went up a bit. I adjusted the master cylinder adjustment rod all the way out to its last thread as well. Im worried its engagement point will fall back towards the firewall again. I also read up that the clutch disc spring(s) may have broken apart(ACT2100).

Been awhile and bringing this thread up from the dead...I bled the system many times to make sure im getting enough travel. Im getting around 14mm of the clutch fork travel, does this sound right? Also while I was under the car I had saw the clutch pressure plate moving while the clutch was being pushed. Isn't the clutch fingers the only thing that's supposed to move? Im having the feeling that the clutch pressure plate bolts were not tightened enough.

thanks.

Here's a pic of the yellow part (ACT2100 Pressure Plate) that moves.

ACT 2100..Wow, this just happened to me! Pulled the tranny cause nothin else worked and found this. Sad story because the clutch had less than 8000 miles on it. Now good news, sent it back to ACT and after some testing they sent me out a replacement.
