okay can someone help me out? how do i get the pedal assembly out? what bolts do i need to remove? i tried using the tech guide to no avail. i got the steering column unbolted also removed the clutch master cylinder rod. unbolted the brake booster and master cylinder and got the clevis pin out. thats all the tech guide said to remove. in addition to all that i removed couple of bolts that were by the clutch spring behind the gas pedal. what else do i have to remove to get the assembly out?

Ok, you will need to stretch your back for a few minutes before digging into this. ROFL

-I'm assuming you have the steering off at this point. You will need a long extension with a 12mm socket. Lay on your back and pretty much remove all the 12mm bolts that you see securing the clutch pedal assembly to the chassis. There are a bunch of them. Make sure the clevis pin has been detached from the MC pushrod.

-You also need to unbolt the 2 bolts that secure the clutch master cylinder to the fire wall. (**These are underhood**) There are also 4 bolts that secure the brake master cylinder to the firewall. (**These are in the car**) Of course as you do this, keep prying on the clutch pedal assembly to break it loose. Wherever you find it not moving, there may be a bolt (or bolts) that need to be removed. They are all 12mm bolts. It's a good idea to place a small block of wood between the brake master cylinder and the fire wall (underhood) to give you more space and room to wiggle the assembly out inside the car since the studs are actually on this unit and are bolted from inside the car. You just need to struggle with it. You may also need to rotate it in either direction (to clear some items that run through the grommet in the firewall) to pull it out. Get all the wiring out of the way to make yur life much easier.

Installation is actually easier. Good luck. :thumb:

Taboo had a good detailed write up. Too bad it's gone. :toobad:

okay i think im retarded or something, but i removed 2 bolts from the firewall(behind the gas pedal) and 5 bolts (for the brake booster assembly) the steering column is dropped, both clutch and brake push rods are off, the sensors are all off, the clutch master cylinder is disconnected and pulled aside. are there any bolts that im missing on the firewall cause this assembly aint budging

damn i finally got this thing out when i put it back in imma make a write up with pictures so nobody else has to go through hunting all the damn bolts down
