Now i've searched as I always do. Anyway, new clutch and tob done by a "mechanic" 1200 miles ago, I should of seen the red flag when I picked it up because I didn't get any actual parts list or anything, So I don't know which clutch they put in. Here's the thing, coming off the freeway last night I come to a stop light,it turns green,I go But There's a weird grinding noise, whirling per say,Only when im driving. Its a speed variable sound too. When parked, it doesn't make the sound.

I've been hearing slight clicking with the passenger axle since i've gotten it back. I'm pretty sure axles don't make a grinding sound. So i'm thinking that maybe they really didn't listen to me when i told them to check everything out and replace whats needed. I have little play in the fork,up and down play. So im confused. I'm starting to think of that saying, "If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself".

Any ideas would be helpful, I will be double checking fluid levels, checking for loose bolts( considering i already found one and a broken reverse light switch). I have new slave and master in as well. Thanks

Ok i know not to bump threads and my first post may look like a novel.Anyway, I dropped my tranny due to an annoying sound while moving. I noticed before hand that the clutch fork moved up and down, well a circle movement too.

First thing i check out was the t.o.b., Looks good, clips still on. But the thing is that the clip thats riveted on the fork itself is able to move and is bent a little bit, If i figure out how to post a pic you'll see.

Now could that be an issue to where i would be having a slight rubbing/grinding sound. Im ordering an upgraded fork since its a few bucks more.if pics are too big i am sorry!

Ok as always ive looked through the threads. I have an issue i need to figure out quick. How the hell do i get the pivot ball off?? It looks good and all, no wear, but. I want it off. Ive tried pb blaster, pounding on the ratchet with a mallet, used heat but i stopped thinking it might not be good. Any idea would help. I want to put the tranny back in tonight or atleast tommoro. Only days off, and im tired of driving the 05 eclipse. Thanks!!!!:hellyeah:

**Update**

Ok, so I wasn't able to move the damn thing at all.Heated it up more but nothing. Pounded on it,nothing. It just wont come off. So I decided just to leave it in, I wasnt planning on shimming.Either way I got the tranny in, surprisingly pretty damn easy. The time consuming part was finding my lug nut that rolled into the parking lot. I didn't think I was gonna put it in tonight so I didn't grab any fluid,Hopefully tomorrow will be the moment of truth. I did start it up for a few seconds and popped it into first. OMG! it shifted with ease.shut it off and now im on here. If my little grinding issue is there tomorrow Ill know its not the fork, tob, slave or master cylinder. Clutch looked good, springs still springing, so which would mean time for a new tranny. Atleast i know its easy to take out. wIll update again. Hopefully:pray: with a resolved in the heading.

Ok i dont think this is bumping or not, But, I got the tranny fluid in it yesterday (which too longer than taking the tranny out) started it up and took it down the parking lot, i let off the gas and i still have the slight grinding. speed variable as well, but doesn't do it under like 10mph. Now i was trying to sleep last night and came up with an idea to get it up to about 30, put it in neutral and shut the car off to see if its still grinding/rubbing. I popped my head out the window and sure enough its still there. So im thinking it isn't internal, but externally grinding. I will be checking out my wheel bearings, the dust shield, and a few other things.

It just doesn't make sense. I do think it has something to do with the brakes or wheels, hoping. Because it started happening right after i came off the freeway going 70, And plus they do put that loose sticky asphalt down on certain roads, and that stuff has been getting caught in my wheels. Anyway, ANY IDEAS other then the ones ive searched hours on would be great. Gotta go to work :(
