Okay my clutch is going out. . and well am going to go with a ACT 2100 and runs about 338.37 but i also came across a ACT 2600 for a little more http://www.hopupracing.com/act6radihedu6.html . How hard is it to drive in the street? my money is limited just like most of us here on this great forum, and am going thru school and so my next mod to my car will be a while. Which is better bang for buck? open to any idea's Oh and another thing I was told that i should have the flywheel resurfaced and I should also replace my oil bearings to the crankshft. . . thanks for reading :thumb:

I'm FWD and have a 2600. Very streetable IMO. Felt a lot stiffer than stock at first but I soon got used to it and I drive in 20 minutes of stop-and-go traffic everyday to and from work. I don't notice it anymore, until I get into my buddies 95 tsi with stock clutch and I realize how stiff mine actually is.

the 2600 will be one of the best investments you will ever make for your car. To me there is nothing better than the feeling of a stiff clutch pedal....I love to get in my car after driving another car with a stock or softer clutch, brings me back to reality haha

good luck

like 90% of the forum goers will say, 2100 for FWD, 2600+ for AWD.

me, i have a 2100 and it made the car feel like it was brand new.

Hmmmm 2600 huh. .. 2100. . .well Ill take your advice in the 2600 and I think Ill go with that one. Thanks for the great feedback. :thumb: UMM wait I have one more thing to ask. . . . the 6 puck is the 2600 right?

Definitely have the flywheel resurfaced. Go to vfaq.com to get the specs, print out the page, and bring it to the machine shop with you to give to the guy who's going to resurface it. Also, you want to replace your throw out bearing with a new OEM throwout bearing.

okay am so lost now I know what i want but I cant seem to find it. AM now thinking that the 6-pad is not the 2600. So what does the 2600 look like? I'll just google it.

The 2600 comes with an organic disk standard.

If you really want to break stuff, you can order it with a 6 puck disk. You more than likely don't need it though.

The ACT 2600 refers to a 2600 lb pressure plate, it has nothing to do with the clutch disc, although usually an orgranic clutch disk comes with it. Don't get anything bigger then the organic disk with an otherwise stock drivetrain.
