Ive got a 97 Tsi and a couple weeks ago i was coming up the road at WOT and when i pushed the clutch pedal to shift it did not disengage the clutch at all, it just acted as if i never touched the pedal. The pedal still had pressure but after i pushed it a few more times to see if i could pump it enough to shift i realized that it now felt "gritty" as i pushed the pedal. (My clutch is an ACT 2600 and only has about 5-6k on it) On my way back home i kept trying to shift it with the clutch to get a feel at what was going on and the clutch partially disengaged a couple times enough to shift but was dragging badly. When i got home i jacked the car up and had my dad push the pedal and my slave cylinder is working and it is not leaking or anything.. i actually just rebuilt the slave cyl about 2 months ago. I really dont want to have to replace the clutch unless absolutely necessary. My car only pushes about 260hp and 290ft lb torque on an awd dyno and i have never had any clutch slipping issues or anything with it. Any ideas?

drop the trans down itself and see if theres something wrong with the fork or the bearing or the pressure plate.
