Clutch Install - How much?

I just got my ACT2600 from Slowboy today and I am shopping around to get it installed. So far the best I can find is $372 from SpeedFetish.com. Is this a good deal?

The big transmission rebuilders charge around $250 to do a clutch job such as Shep Racing. Look around and then ask the shop who does the work if they can match or beat that price. $372 is a bit steep, especially seeing as a clutch job on a dsm is not an intensive or overly time consuming process. I had a local shop do mine for me and I think that they charged around $250 to install my clutch and flywheel.

do it yourself get a faq and its really simple i had mine done by me for like 0$ great deal that guy is hela cool

Do it yourself or expect to pay anywhere between $200-500.

Thanks for the info guys. A clutch job is not something I'm interested in doing. Skills-wise, I'm able, but I don't feel like crawling on the ground all day! Plus, seems like all I do is work on that thing forever.

For those of you who have used a local tranny shop, do they usually know what they are doing with the DSM's in particular?

the place that I went to did a good job with it...I was pretty satisfied. I don't doubt that he knew what he is doing since he road races in events all over. I also had to get my tranny rebuilt, but I had them take that to a tranny specialist. I got the car back about a week later and was very happy with the results. I know that $250 isn't as good as doing it yourself, but since the tranny needed to be fixed, I felt that it was worth it...
