today was puliing out of work and when shifting into 1st it grinded and made a horrid chatter noise. 2nd was tough to get into, and reverse is tough as well. when in neutral, and was going through gears, 1st grinded, 2nd was rough, 3rd i couldnt even engage, 4th was fine, 5 was fine, reverse was tough as well. i read up on the forums about GM syncromesh, could this help? either that or the shift adjustment? hoping clutch isnt gone. any ideas highly appreciated.
thanks,
Ron

Mines got a few more miles than yours with stock clutch and it is just starting to grind from first to second. I've had a few shops tell me its the syncro-gear going out. Caused by shifting at high rpm's. So I found a tranny from a 90 fwd turbo with only 70k on it and picked it up for 250 bucks. So yeah, syncros going bad would be my guess.

put some bg synchroshift in..see if it heps. if not, check ur clutch fluid lever. if its fine, see if the clutch master cylinder is leaking, if not..then lean towards the clutch.
