Clutch effecting idle

First off my dile surges and stays at 2000rpms when started when cold, and gradually drops. whenever my clutch is fully in, say sitting at alight in first gear/nutral, My rpms go from 1100-1600 over and over and over... now if i keep it in gear and let off abit on the clutch it wont surge it will just stay at a high idle, if I press it down fully the idle goes back to surging. can this constant surging hurt the car?

My car idled good before installing fuel -6an fuel systen (aeromotvive fpr+fuel filter), so I dont see how it can be related to that. I unplugged the fuse that "resets" the ECU, could that have messed thngs up.

My car is not tunned and I am venting. I am currently waiting on a datalogger and apex APC and GM maf+translator. My car used to run good while being vented with no gm maf so im kinda unsure if its the bovs fault ornot.

First of all, I will have to say that venting without a maf is very foolish. Many people on here claim that it can be done with little decrease in performance, but I still don't recommend it. Anyways it sounds like its not your clutch affecting anything (your clutch really can't affect your idle, it just sits there hugging the fly wheel until you press the clutch pedal which causes the clutch to lift off the flywheel) . Its your ISC motor that is dead, and is causing the idle surge. You can get a new one from a dealership for around $300, or u can pull one off a junk car for around $10 (make sure it works). Oh and on a side note, my car does the SAME exact thing, and my ISC is definitely dead. So I just unplugged the bastard and run with it like that, but it kind of sucks if you use AC or anything electrical because your idle will decrease. If you rev it really hard and let go the engine will stall too, so its a good idea to just find a cheap replacement (still looking in my junkyard). Good luck. If you don't know where your ISC motor is located, its on the throttle body (right below the main elbow/inlet)

I actually have 2 ISC's, I took the suspected faulty one off and put in my other used ISC and it does the exact same thing. only not when I turnon my a/c and rear window heater the idle doesnt move whereas the orgional one would make it move when those things were turned on.

Test the coils on both of those ISC motors and see if any are faulty. They are probably both shot. Use a digital multimeter to test them. Each coil's resistance should read about 30 ohms. If any are really large, this means that the coil is probably corroded. If your coils test out ok, I have no idea what could be causing it, maybe try cleaning out your throttle body (spray some carb cleaner in that bizotch). Good luck

i cleaned the tb and everything before, ill test the isc soon, my datalogger should be in any day now.
