I have an act 2600 with about 10000 miles on it. I have the trans off right now to fix some leaks from the rebuild, and the disk is VERY worn. How many people have just replaced the disk and reused the flywheel surface and the pressure plate and how did it work out? I know you "should" replace everything, but I only have enough money for a disk. I was counting on having to change the clutch this summer again because I did a lot of track racing last year ( 50+ passes ) .. but not so soon. How much does the disk wear in proportion with the flywheel and pressure plate? ( fidanza and 2600 pp ). The disk is worn down to the rivets, the pressure plate and flywheel surface still have a ways to go. Thanks.

the flywheel and pressure plate should never "wear". They will however get hot and develope microscopic imperfections along with an overall warped surface. All this translates into no grip and just more slippage.

You may be able to get away with it....noone will know till you try.

I'm going to give it a shot ... I have signs of a lot of heatmarks on both, however not nearly as bad as I have seen in other friends cars when they changed clutches and they didn't really have many problems. I'll let you guys know what happens.
