I had some horrible times trying to get my clutch system to work. I was running the "CENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION" pressure plate and clutch.
Anyway this is what we found. We saw some of the pressure plate fingers weren't all at the same level after removing the trans. So the consensus was the pressure plate was messed up. So we removed the pressure plate and this is what we found.
So this is what i saw first. I said well the clutch looks fine. My buddy was still under the car and told me to turn over the clutch so I could see what he swa.
This is what he saw.
So the clutch surface on half the disc had enough and decided it was out here.
So they called it a dual friction clutch. Now I know why. One is the friction surface pads and one is the metal clutch disc behind the pads were glued to. Elmer's glue I am sure...
I HAD ABOUT 600 MILES on the setup!!! EVOIII 16g at 15psi. I was trying to break in my new 6bolt and this is what I get...
