clutch disk depth

i just got an oem replacement, how do you know if its got some life left on it? the friction materal is ABOVE the rivets

Facing rivet sink limit spec is 0.012".

Friction materal above the rivets must be greater than 0.012". But if you got a new oem replacement it would be that so I'm not sure what you're asking.

its used, but under 2k....how do u measure the disk?

I'm sorry. There's new, and there's Just Too Clueless. Your shop manual will describe how to measure clutch friction disc wear limits.
