Hi, i have been putting my car back together, and when we went to bleed the clutch... well here i am.

Bleeding it we used the 2 man process, pump hold pump hold. It would build some pressure, but not near enough and barely any pedal throw. Fork would only move about half inch to an inch.

I checked the master, no leaks seems to be operating fine. New slave cylinder. The adjustment on the master rod is flush with the nut... I believe i have to re-adjust it so the bleeder valve in the master is self adjusting again.

Anyway, my main concern is my clutch pedal. As i bring the clutch pedal back up to where it stops, i can grab it and pull it up even more. Probably an inch or 2. Video: (sorry for the music, my friends were there working on their rides too, and in a warehouse it echos alot.)

I cranked the nut down on the end of the shaft where the arm for the master connects, and still wont work.

Yeah. i cant get the clutch to bleed properly, so once again I will be on hold for getting my car done.

Can anyone please help out? Is it my pedal assembly?

when you said you did "pump, hold, pump, hold" are you only pumping it once inbetween the holds? If so...your doing it wrong. You need to pump it a minimum of 5 times(i usually do 10 just for "extra") then hold and pop the bleeder.

No! Pumping is not necessary for these systems, a pump hold is all you need.

Did you watch the video? It seems like im not getting enough throw to build pressure or something.. which i dont understand since it was fine last time there was a motor and trans in the car.

And yes i meant pump it multiple times and crack the bleeder.

It seems like it wont build enough pressure
 
Im having almost same problem, except the pedal problem. I got enough pressure to shift while running by blowing(yea I didnt wanna try it either) on mastrr cyclinder resivor while friend pushed pedal. I then bled it wit pedal on floor. I dont know if this helps you but good luck from other side the same boat. :)
 
Put your friend in the drivers seat. You go under the car to your slave. Open the bleeder. Have him push the clutch down and hold it. Close the bleeder just before fluid stops coming out. Have him release the petal and pull it to the top if need be. REPEAT about 6 times, making sure that you dont run out of fluid in the master resevoir. After a few times the pedal will return on its own. If this procedure doesn't work, you have a problem elsewhere.

I know this works, I did it a month ago when my slave went out.

Did you replace your master? A leaky/worn master will do what your petal is doing also...and not return to the full up position.
 
Do you see what I'm talking about? I don't think your understanding fully. When the pedal comes back up by itself I can grab it and pull it up even more and the spring or master rod does not move.
 
I know this is an old thread but did you ever find the issue? By the look in the video you posted I would have to say your pedal assembly need to be replaced or sent to shep for the fix. I had to send mine but I had other issues,LOL
 
I've seen this before, it sounds like the master was replaced, but someone didn't use the little clevis/fork that came with it that hooks it to the pedal's arm. Some of the masters have a simple one made of bent 1/8th steel. others' have a big round thing that's a lot larger and longer.. if you change the master and the new one had a different clevis and all you did was leave the old one on the pedal and screw the pushrod of the new master into it that's your problem (i found out because i made the same mistake once - then quickly dug the big huge POS looking clivis piece out of the "junk drawer" of the toolbox and installed it.. pedal came to top immediately after this and i was able to bleed the system out better as well
