Clicking noise when I drive

About a year ago somebody stole my wheels while my car was in my driveway. They left one brake rotor on the cement. I think on at least one of the corners they supported the car with rocks under the control arm. And then of course they left a jack supporting the front of my car from the oil filter housing...

It was a pretty disappointing sight to wake up to. But anyways ever since then when I drive I can hear this clicking/knocking sound. It's hard to tell where it's coming from but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the motor. There's a lot of vibration from the noise, and I can feel it in through the pedals. I was thinking it may be differential bushings or something because I think the diff was resting on the ground too.

Anybody have any ideas?

+1 for CVs. Does the noise change at all when you turn one way or another?

I'll investigate them more. I feel like it might click harder when I turn one way. Either that or is doesn't click as much or at all when I turn the other way.

I'm not positive, but it could be a wheel bearing. It's worth checking at least. I had a similar incident (road noises) and it was my rear wheel bearing. For a basic test, just jack the car up, and grab a tire and try to shake it, you shouldn't be able to (in and out, towards and away from the engine).

My driver side CV was bad and when I took right turns or went over bumps it would click.

WOW, What huge scum bags those guys were. Cv's sound like the more reasonable answer but I've had a similar issue.

It was my exhaust vibrating on my drive shaft so its worth a look.
