Has anybody cleaned their wastegate with something that did a good job, but didn't ruin any mechanics of it? My Tial wastegate is sticking and I wanted to know if there was a way to clean out the carbon buildup without ruining the valve or diaphram inside of it.

Thanks

Erik

I would say to use something like simple green or another kinda of degreaser and take off the wastegate and then just let it soak in what you choose then rinse off with water.

what about that silicone or rubber diaphram inside it, wouldn't break cleaner harm it?

maybe carb cleaner would do it, but that might be even stronger than break cleaner, im not sure.
