I'm prepping my block to be rebuilt again and last time I didn't do anything special in the way of honing or decking the block. Now this time around, my pistons leak oil and now there is also brass metal flakes everywhere.
I have a few questions, first asking if I need to remove the freeze plugs or can they be left alone? Also do I have to have my head and block redecked or can I clean them up good enough to work? I also would like to know if I should have the block main journals or anything else machined? I see one cylinder wall with a slight marking maybe from a ring so I think they will need rebored?
What do you guys think?
