Cleanest look?

clean usually means no graphics or stickers to me, i really like the way a white or black 97-99 GS-X with GS-t wheels looks lowered with an exhaust, FMIC, and maybe a CF hood, this may be my next DSM... :D thats what i think of when i think clean DSM. :dsm:

exactly what im saying to ^^^^^^ t hem up there, there is a HUGE difference between clean and well......rice. I mean face it. Of course there are a few cars taht can pull it off to make it look good and all. Oh and to 9D9 mitsu.....even if they did had a body kit you think you could put that stuff up next to foose and boyd anyways??? hmmm, i dont think so. Let me just pull the body off of my car, chrome out the WHOLE underside, or at least powdercoat it, chrome out the axles, put some extremely crazy paint job on it, then hand fabricate all these different parts, and put 134078513847 TV's in there, and i think MAYBE it could look like theirs....and why you giving props to BOYD? he has a WHEEL company, i thought wheels werent great??? Also at least 50% of the stuff he does, i am definetly NOT trying to say that he does bad work or that i dont like it, but when he does stuff, its the things he chooses to do to the car, rather he wants to have this type of suspension set up/look, or this crate engine that was already built up or do this paint, or these wheels. Everything he uses, is already made, he just figures out a way to make it look better. So technically anyone can do it. And the reason why an eclipse wont look the same, is because...they just wont get the attention....now you know EVERYONE will love a classic/hotrod car, but not quite that many people are gonna just me OMFG that is an ECLIPSE...somebody please hold me before i fal!!!

Usually i would post my own car cause i think its pretty clean looking but i would have to see that this looks the cleanest in my opinion, one word...beautiful :thumb:

Clean simply means clean, however you look at it. A car like mine or slammedsilver99's is often considered clean. The quality of workmanship is good, the car is kept clean, and the car has a flow to it. I see what you mean, as far as a stock look being clean. A show guy/girl will usually think of clean as having flow and just being kept in showroom condition. I think even with graphics, my car and slammedsilver99's car retain a factory-like flow, even though we have gone a little farther to make the cars stand out. Even if you don't like them... hey, atleast it's not vinyl. :p

wingless = sexiness!

I would have to say that any car can be considered "clean" with a bodykit ..AS LONG AS its made tastefully and smooth. Its all the extra stuff ppl slam on there that doesnt matcch up to each other that destroys it I think. If you keep a "theme" throughout the buildup and mix all things to flow well together then it will look good.
Some ppl hate my car for instance..others say that it looks real good eventhough they normally hate kits on 2Gs.. Now I aint saying its a nice car or not..I am just saying that taste is different from ppl to pl and aslong as cars are being rebuilt we will have as many opinions that there are cars..simple as that. Sometimes it works out well with kits...sometimes it doesnt. Just putting on a kit you seen on another car wont do it...can still lok like shit if not done properly...

Its all about how you mix and match parts to flow together...simple as that.

with that said... :thumb:

PS: Car in sig is the car last year....this is my current version...

Are those custom eyelids? Those are cool. I personally don't like the wing but other than that it looks sweet(the car)

Im not bashing the wingless, but I always thought that the large rear bumber causes the end of the car to look funny without something to even out the appearance above the tail lights.

I dont think this is true for other cars, like a integra for example looks cool wingless.

Totally agree with you on that part....Some cars look real sleek without wing..but a 2G doesnt IMO...Doesnt mean this wing is the best..but something needs to be on there IMO to make it flow on the rear....

Your right, celicas look horrible like that. I was following a wingless celica the other day and I had to change lanes just because I couldn't stand looking at it anymore. Euro, got any more pics of the new look?

I meant that a kit and stuff besides wheels is a little more respectable when done right, when compared to a car that has wheels as the only exterior mod.(When talking about the overall appeal of exterior mods) I'm saying that people are freaking out and acting as if wheels are a major accomplishment, like putting wheels on makes you worthy of Foose's status. Coddington builds badass cars from the ground, up. That is respectable and worthy of a little enthusiasm, I would think. However, putting new wheels on a car is not that big of a deal.
I'm not saying anything is crazy or unique about bodykits, TVs, etc. I'm just saying that I don't see why people who do nothing beyond wheels, cosmetically, are getting praised like they completely redesigned the car. For God's sake, it's just a set of wheels.
Some people do appreciate a show car. It's not rice IMO. It has a purpose. It was built for show and serves its purpose. I won't bash a guy for choosing to stop after some wheels. I just won't be as impressed by the overall look of the car. I build my car for me, so I let everyone do their thing. I have my opinion. Others have their opinions. It's fine with me. Diversity is a great thing. Not everyone has to like your car. Who cares if someone doesn't like it? It's your car, so you can choose your parts and the path that you take with it. I bet the majority here would like to see my car in a crusher. I'm not sweating it.
Thanks for putting words in my mouth and completely missing my point. It's my opinion. No need to get mixed up and make tons of punctuational and grammatical errors.
Sorry to have to go back and explain everything.

alright 9D9, i apologize, i should not have taken it out of context LOL. I do however see what you are saying now...this is true...thx for opening my vision

A clean looking stock style car typically has more done than just wheels. Many people shave the emblums and trim the front bumper, which is an "external mod". The rear wiper gets shaved.. ect. These little subtlies make for a more appealing, but not cluttered look. Thats what I call clean. Simple.

shaved wing on a spyder is the best thing you can do to the car. along with lowering, its just beautiful, makes the car seem wider and lower and exagerates the spyder's beautiful ass... :D from certain angles i have to try and catch my drool...

I like both stock and body kits, but when you go either way. I think that you need the spoiler. Even if it's a stock spoiler, I think it looks a lot better. In my opinion.

Some kits are just too much, and people can go way overboard with color. On the other hand, some kits I don't think look that bad. Its just I like the stock look so much I can't justify spending money on a body kit. GotEclipsed and RedTurboEclipse... they are the best looking cars in my opinion, and lots of other peoples too. Everybody tries to be like them, hell, even me.

Being a 1g owner I don't know how valued my opinion is on the 2g but I saw a two dropped with 17's and wingless and the thing looked sick (sick as in good) seriously a fan of 2g wingless! :thumb:

to me the 2g convertables with either the 2gb or sensei front ends are really sexy, as long as a body shop works the sensei so that it flows, caus usually when you get a new body piece, they dont flow all that good, they may fit, but still need to be worked so that they are perfect, but yea...i love the 2g convertables, but i wouldnt buy one.....

i like the red 95-96 car ghettosmurf posted, i just bought a black 95 gsx, finally LOL , but ima post a pic of my current car for you blitz haters , i think it is rather clean, but im selling it to go with the gsx model for many reasons, the turbo, awd, power locks/doors, less miles, leather, sunroof, im just wanting a car easy to drive everyday, but i will be doing motor mods, so i will be asking questions on it whenever this car is sold, i have won many trophies with this car suprizingly , btw , never do lambo doors , i got setup wholesale with verticaldoors.com and can get you a kit for like 1300, but you'll regret it if your thinking of doing it, let me know what u think of the car, spent 4 months building it
