OK, so ive been talking with snowboarder on here about the cig lighter wiring. Now i need a voltmeter to tell and i currently do not have one, but im trying to wire my LC-1 Air/fuel meter into a 12v power source, and originally I had wired it into my head unit's power line, but after blowing both the 10a and the 20a fuse in the relay box under the hood for the radio, i've decided that pushing that much current through that wire probably isnt a good idea.

The only other close alternative is the cig lighter. Now there is a blue and a black wire that goes to the lighter itself, i'm figuring the black wire is the ground, and the blue wire is the power. Can anyone confirm this before i go stripping both? Thanks!

You can just ground out a wire on one end and tap the other end to the individual contact points for the cig lighter. And the one that sparks is the power one.

In case you can't readily get a multimeter.
