Sorry, yes, I meant the baffle. I have a Mitsu one on my car right now and I have a Hyundai one that I'm prepping to put on the car later. I didn't mean that I had already drilled it out, sorry.
I like your powerwasher and Simple Green method and I think I'll try that first.
The reason I asked is because the underside of the VC has oil discoloring on it...brown. I hate to think that Simple Green would end up in a pocket somewhere under the baffle and getting mixed up with my oil after I put it on or some debris getting stuck in there and getting mixed up in my oil or worse...causing a clog.

It's just simple green, it's all natural. It can't be that bad.

Just make sure you spray it out real real well and let it dry for a good long while.

But honestly, just send one out to TRG.

Also, that discoloring is nothing to worry about honestly. It's not like you're going to see it anyway.

You're right about it being all natural, I forget that sometimes. Although my purpose of spraying the underside is to remove any type of possible FOD...too paranoid I guess, . I'm getting tired of it sitting around though, I'm probably just going to skip that anyway.
I'll try that as soon as I'm done removing the old paint job and I find a color that I like. I really like that sandstone grey (or whatever it's technically called) that was used above.

I find myself saying this alot but take a look on ebay...they have a bunch of valve covers either already colored or chromed and the quality it pretty good.
