choice turbo for 12's

Hi.
Help me to choice my turbo
My goal is to make 12 lower
I have this turbos for to choice.
Holset H1C
Holset HX40/HX35
Turbonetics trim super 50.

I have this stuff too, but no yet in the car
Deka Injector 75 lb/h
Walbro inline 255
Wiseco piston CR 9.0:1
Eagle rods
Custom manifold
Treadestone intercooler
Sinister TC 8”
IPT Shift Kit
Shift box
big transmission cooler
Camshaft Delta K272
Cams gear adjustable
Evo 8 springs & retainers
Head port & polish

I need to buy DSMlink with SD for tuning, what else do you think I'll need?
I think that with 25 psi @ 8000 rpm is enough to my goal, isn't?

EvoIII 16G or Buschur 20G will get you there easily.

Buschur 20G is an awesome street turbo, pretty quick spool up and makes decent topend power.

Plus you don't need a ton of mods to support to make decent power.

Injectors, fuel pump, ported 2G or EvoIII manifold, IC piping, FMIC, cams (I'd suggest 272's), full exhaust, and you'll be hitting close to 400whp. You could either go speed density with DSMlink V3 or go with a 2G or Evo MAF.

Just my 2 cents.
 
The hx40 is better then the h1c IMO and will diffenetly get you in the 12's if everything is built around it. If you did your suspension right and had a good tune you could get lower then 12's with a hx40.
 
You are going to also need a AFPR running a 255lph. I've seen a few people run high 12s with the 14b plus fuel, drivetrain, and of course replacingthe restrictive intake and exhaust. If money isn't an issue I'd compare all of your choices and see what you want in term of lag and power goals. You could run faster than 12s with all of the above as long as you support it. Hope you get the answers you are looking for from all the dsmers on here. Tons of knowledge! :hellyeah:

what do you think if rebuild my 14b with Justin and put 20g on it

12's on a 14b is possible for sure, but imho I think on a full trim street car you'll be running that turbo pretty hard towards its maximum efficiency range. A E316G (genuine mitsu) or 20G (buschur only) you could find one of these used on the forums for a decent price. They will spool quicker than any holset and be a fun street turbo that you could DD reliably.

Yes you will need a afpr with a larger pump, rewire kit and injectors.

I'm just saying that's what I would do to make a fun dependable street car on a budget that I wouldn't be afraid of driving around.
 
Already stated but just agreeing, and I know what mine would have done. I ran a b16g on 21psi last year, ran low 13s on 10.6v. If my alt and battery problem were fixed, I would have been mid 12s for sure. And that was with fic 650s, Wally 255 (no afpr) and dsmlink on a worn out 6 bolt LOL

I have a small 16g on my eclipse running 18-20 psi. Buy on my gvr4 I'm still running the stock 14b with little mods and almost got into the 12's with that already. Once I finish the suspension work and actually tune the thing it will be in the 12's easy. If my eclipse motor would have stayed together alittle longer, I'm very positive I could have dipped into the 11's with it.
 
If you can't run 12's with a 14b and awd platform then something is wrong. :)

Your doing it wrong..I love that.But in all seriousness a 14b 2 20 psi with the right mods should get you into the 12s."how to run 12s on an almost stock dsm" (someone link that please).
 
I said and AWD my eclipse is FWD, and low 12's on a s16g which would have been a 14b if the one I got wasn't completely blown and worthless. That's also why I added about my gvr4 with barely anything done to it I've already ran 13.5's so 12's will be no problem. Give me a 1g awd eclipse/talon on a 14b and ill have a 12's car no prob!! ;)
 
Good choice, I'd suggest 20g so you have more wiggle room in case you want to take a dip into the 11's eventually.
