China made exhaust manifold?

Needed a new exhaust manifold, found one locally for 40 bucks.

I didn't notice until I got home, that it says china on it. Here it is, were there china made copy cat cast manifolds? If so, anyone know the quality? Seems to be of pretty good quality.

Sorry cant get the picture to upload.....basically it looks identical to a 2g stock cast manifold...but it has China and some numbers stamped on it.

most (from my experience) china made stuff is produced for quantity not quality, and can last you a while or break a few days later, you can use it and it can last you a long time go for it if you want.

Also these are still available new (~$100) from places like autozone, and come with limited (1 year) limited warranty.
I have done stock, and cracked it, slowboy and cracked it. my Forced performance is holding but it has only seen one weekend, and the runners are huge.
most if not all of em are imported. I wouldn't worry about it too much

I just sold one of these myself. Had CHINA stamped right on the underside. Wish I had taken a picture...

Seemed to look like an OEM replacement but I have no idea where it came from. I got it from an eBay auction steal and didn't need it.

Looks like dorman reproduction manifold. I have one sitting in my room, part number 674-265. Mine says made in Vietnam, but the first part number is the same.

I work at oreilly's & bought this for myself. Pretty good quality copy, most of dormans stuff seems to be that way.

Dorman (or similar) reproduction. They're copies of 1G manifolds, actually....smaller runners than a 2G manifold, and the cheap carbon-steel casting will still crack over time. Paperweight.

the china steel is just not that strong their steel is made with less (carbon?) i cant remember but i saw a show on that a long time ago

Get an fp manifold you won't ever need another.
