Cherry picker (engine lift)

does anyone have a cherry picker i can use?? i need to replace my water pump. i already have my tranny out. its ready to lift so i can do the water pump. shouldnt take more than 2 or 3 hours tops. id be willing to pay on the 5th.

Balls out and reach in there and change it without removing the engine.

there is no space at all. my motor mounts went out and my cross member is bent to heck. so there is like 1 inch of space from the pullys and the frame.

how and the hell do you do that? i cant find any write ups on a water pump replacement. so i figured with the limited space u just pull the engine.

Old thread, but I could have told you how.

You put a block of wood on the oil pan, remove the right side motor mount. Then jack up the motor until you can reach in and get to it. Really, it only takes a few inches of lifting to be able to easily access it.

But if your motor mounts are already shot I don't see a reason to not pull the motor unless you aren't replacing them.
