i have a 98 gsx recently the check engine light had come on the car struggles to get over 3k rpms i scanned it trough dsmlink and got 0100 volume air flow circuit malfuntion and when i run a data log it shows no reading for airflow i have a brand new 3" gm maf and all the wires by the ecu are connected with no play what else should i check???

How are you running the GM MAF? With the FullThrottleSpeed MAF Translator, or with the DSMLink GM MAF adapter? You need to have one or the other, or you WILL get MIL code P0100.

is there any other components connected to the maf sensor or its straight wired to the ecu???

The DSMLink GM MAF adapter has a circuit board in it that needs 5 volt power from the ECU to power it, and it also passes the 12 volt power through to power the GM MAF. If you bought the 2G MAS version, and your 2G MAS was working fine before, it should have been a plug-n-play installation. Both of those voltages and ground are normally supplied to the 2G MAS connector.
Have you tried your 2G MAS? If the 2G MAS is also not putting out any Hz, I would check your ECU for a burned up sensor ground.

I checked all the wires by the ecu everything was good all wires soldered and tight if my maf cable had gotten water on it could it be shot?

i believe i figured it out i cut opened the dsmlink cable and saw that the circuit board was shorted im ordering a new one most likely thats the problem

Shorted? In what way? Do you have a picture? Have you talked to Tom about it? It would be a bad thing to put another $75 cable in there and have it burn up too.
