Check Engine light came on after short shifter install...PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Today i just installed my megan short throw shifter. I started the car it ran for a bit and i popped the hood and checked my anti freeze and it was extremely low so i ran got some antifreeze and filled the tank up to the full line. I started the car again and noticed the check engine light still on..wtf is goin on!?! So i backed the car out and drove it a little and noticed my shifter was hell of alot stiffer, kinda need alot more muscle to put in gear now and the check engine light is still on. I was thinking about a clutch adjustment but im not sure..some please help me out.

Have you checked the code for the check engine light? Its very unlikely that is has anything top do with the shifter.

Autozone and O'Reileys will tell you what code your car is throwing for free. I imagine other autoparts stores will too, but I've never tried anywhere else.

Here O'Reileys makes you pay for the tester before letting you use it and then return it for refund when done. Autozone just has an employee come out with the tester and do it. No one trusts you anymore to just borrow the tester even though you're in plain site in their parking lot and they have your credit card.
