check engine light blinks on, off when i press clutch

Hi, sorry for posting a couple different posts but I just bought my car and i'm trying to get everything sorted out. I noticed when I'm driving that SOMETIMES my check engine light will turn on around... 2k rpm, usually in 2nd and 3rd, but it will always turn off when i press the clutch to shift gears. Any help would be appreciated; if it's a big-money problem i would rather know now. Thanks!

Have you hooked a scan tool up to your car to see if there are any dtc's? Maybe there is a history code that can point us in the right direction.

Do you have DSMlink? If so then your light is flashing to tell you your knocking and you need to get off the gass til you get a better tune.
