'09 Fit Sport MT. Got the only MT available in dealerships within a 50 mile radius. It's a blast to drive and whip around corners because of the short wheel base. Hypermiled, I'm getting >40mpg! Got it for $750 under sticker price. It's gonna be my DD and it's gonna stay BONE STOCK.

Don't worry, the DSM is still around. Just getting a lil' makeover. :D

Big thanks to Tom (blcknspo0lin) for being my semi-pro photographer. Good thing I didn't pay anything. :p

It's an amazing car. It handles well, the motor is peppy, and there is so much interior room it boggles my mind. Today I went snowboarding. It sat 3 plus all of our equipment with no problems. And I got 39.8mpg going 75mph on the highway. Went 350 miles and filled the tank for $13.

The ONLY gripe I have is the darn active restraint headrests. Felt like my head is constantly propped forward, but have since made other changes to seating position and gotten used to it... could use a tad more power... (must... resist... modding...)

The makeover is just a little one... doing some machinework and other "stuff" to the head.

The Fit is not a bad car at all. $750 under sticker is what the normal person knows as invoice. I sold cars for years and there is a thing called holdback. thats what the dealer really paid for it. so say the car is 10k sticker 9 k invoice (that you can find on any website) then 8k holdback price which is what the dealer actually paid for it. I know Ford trucks have a huge mark up on em. but things like the fit yaris, sentra all those dont have much mark up due to the price.

Besides those fits have a TON of space in them.

I heard with a type R sticker you get around 400WHP. But it looks good and a reliable DD is always nice.

>40 MPG

I hate you so much.

I get easily less than 20 MPG on the highway in the DD.

Nice! I've had my eye on these since they came out a few years ago. Always thought they looked good in Sport trim, and it's a Honda, so it should never break LOL. I'd love to DD one.

I flirted with getting one of these, but I couldn't pass up a GVR-4. I couldn't find any Fits in my area that were manual either. You do own the perfect DD! Have fun with it!

Nice car. I'm starting to get into the dorky car stage now. I've been looking at a Suzuki SX4 hatchback AWD. I'm strangely attracted to it.

Me too. Here's the best part: RRE makes a 16g bolt on kit that kicks it up to 220hp. Linky. Kinda pricey, but good to know that it can safely be done. The exhaust manifold looks crazy in their product photo.

Car is ugly as sin!:notgood:

But great gas mileage and a reliable car make up for the ugly.:thumb:ROFL

I really reealllly REALLLLLY hate Hondas.
But it's manual, and blue props.

Why do you hate hondas so much?

I'm a tech at a honda dealer, so I see these a lot. REALLY fun cars to drive, despite having no power. I would love one as a daily driver. Something about driving it is just so much fun. Shifter position/ seating? I don't know.

I test drove one and decided to buy it, they were gonna give me 5.99% financing for 60 months but everytime they told me my monthly payments, it seemed to be higher than what I have calculated.....But about $20 a month....

So with all the paper laid out in front of me, I backed out and said I need to think some more.....

My question is, would you mind pm'ing me with what you pay monthly and what your rate is, Im just curious as I still like the thought of these as a dd....

Please let me know....

I hate the people that come with them.
I live by Milwaukee, all I see is riced out civics and talking about their vtec popping, body kits, or how fast their spoiler made them, seriously. :toobad:
