Charcoal Canister Removal- Vent tube?

Quick question. I'm taking out the egr, charcoal canister and such. What do I do with the fuel vent hose to from the charcoal canister? Plug it? Leave it open? Breather? What?

gasfar as I know just vent it, you will get fumes though, I would rout a longer hose that goes from the firewall about 2 feet down so the fumes dont come up.

This may sound stupid but would it now be dangerous to smoke in my car?

So i assume somewhere else there is a vent for the gas tank. Wonder where. Has anyone removed the whole line and plugged it at the tank?
