I've looked for how to change the wheel studs on a 1G but none of what anyone else has posted helps. I'm trying to change the studs on a 90 Eclipse GS-T. On the front driver's side. People say just hammer them out and put the new ones in but it isnt that simple. Theres a spindle behind the studs that keeps you from just hammering them through. So, how do I change the studs?
trust me it was a scary moment... i realized that they don't automatically go all the way in.. so i ended up messing up all the studs from the driver side and luckily i just scraped a little bit of the lower suspension... so i put new ones back in and drove it around the block and noticed that the had gotten loose so i tighten them up more and took it for another spin and sure enough loose again.. i tighten them one more time and took it around the block again and ever since they've been tight... IM JUST TRYING TO HELP OUT AND MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE
