changed fuel pump, now gauge is MESSED

k so i just changed my fuel pump in my 98 gsx, what a bi***, but anyways, it seemed to go okay, but now my gas gauge is reading wrong, it says i have betwen 1/4 and half, but before i started i had a quarted, so now that im running rich as hell with the bigge rinjectors and not being able to tune my dsmlink yet, i know i should be about out of gas, and on top of that my gas light just came on... so why would one be reading wrong, and one be reading right.

dont worry about it, took the pump out, gonna put it back in tonight, but i got the gauge to go back down. please close.

bump, i did it like 3 times that night and now full reads like 3 quarters. but everything look fine.
