I purchased one from a member on a local forum and I'm wondering if I should replace the lexan since he installed custom brace bars to help keep the lexan from flexing. Any thoughts? They are two metal bars spaced evenly apart in the middle of the lexan.

I've attached a picture below. Please excuse the porno blanket I use to keep it covered. :thumb:

I don't see why you should. Why do you want to?

I would leave it alone, especially if you plan on road racing this puppy. I know SCCA is strict about upwards facing glass in case of rolling.

I really appreciate the feedback. I don't know I've just seen people rock the lexan without brace bars. I'll probably leave it just wanted a couple opinions first. :thumb:

I agree. I'd leave 'em on.

Listen Paulie, stick to compound turbo set ups...you don't know what you're talking about when it come to this sort of thing. LOL

BTW, have you had any bites on your set up you're selling? I don't know about you but I would imagine it's going to be quite hard to sell unless you find someone specifically looking for a compound setup for their 1g/2g. Correct me if I am wrong. :hmm:

Hey now, I have poly carbonate windows in my 1G. :p

Yeah, several people have declared that they want it. The problem usually is having the funds, not a having an interest. ;)

Awesome. I can't wait to see who buys it and actually installs it instead of sitting on it and whoring it out to someone else. PLUS, I can't wait to see your NEW and IMPROVED set up since you have much more experience and knowledge now. I don't want to claim you know more than you do but I'm sure you've learned a lot! :thumb:

Its like that with me all the time! :D

As far as the Lexan goes, I would read the rules very closely about the series you plan on running in. NASA and SCCA rules seem to differ a lot in some areas and are almost identical in others. (Depending on what series you are racing) My rear lexan has the support, and I was told I could not race at a SCCA event by a tech guy. But then the race coordinator told me I could. It was kind of a big fiasco. I was finally allowed to race after what seemed like an eternity of politics and debating.
