Center diff ID and year models

Hi, I am in the process of repairing my center diff. The tranny is from a 95-99 GSX. The center diff was welded so I purchased a different center diff. It seems to be too tall.

I have 97-99 front diff ring installed

So could I please get some info on the center diff. Years that are compatible and how to ID them would be great.

The RVR center diff fit just fine. The welded diff from the tranny wasn't done right so I can't install it to fit it.

Please provide pics if you can.


This is the center diff I got in the mail, I am going to email the seller ask him what year it was out of, maybe it doesn't fit 95-96.

That looks like a 90-early91 center diff.

Donnie is right that looks just like the ones I play with. Which are early 91. I'm not positive, but I think you need one with a notch in the teeth. The good news is you can probably buy a good used case from tre for next to nothing, and swap your guts into it.
