Most of the custom ones are made of fiberglass mat that guys cut and resin themselves. You can get fiberglass mat at most autobody supply shops.

I checked the VFAq and the forums here.
I found successfully the article on HOW TO FG the vents.
I am not FG, I already purchased the brushed ALUM Dual Vent Guage Plate.
The Faq I came across, Does not explain what to do with the heat.

1) What would I use to block it off?
2) How do I remove the tabs that contol the vent guages to go open and close?
3) Do I need to remove the console, so I can reach the ciggy light power and ground?

Just ran home from college and I am in b/w changing and trying to get to work on time. But the link you posted is just like the other one. Do I have to remove contole to tap into the Ciggy lighter?

ANy other Alt to Dyno mat (isn't that exspensive)?
