La Crosse,
my cel is on (p0446) and my car starts harder and doesnt seem to run as good(not a lot of low end power). what is wrong and needs to be fixed?

P0446 = Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction

A loose gas cap could also trigger a CEL

So I just got this code now, replaced the gas cap a few months ago. no problem. the only thing ive done is take out all the seats and interior panels. I didnt disconnect anything except the electrical connection to the seat. any other ideas?

So if its not the gas cap, what else could it be? What does EVAP vent control circuit malfunction actually saying?

You might need to replace the EVAP purge valve.

Your CEL is probably telling you that the valve (the only ECU controlled portion of the EVAP system) isn't opening; thus, no evaporated fuel vapors are re-entering the intake manifold. You might notice poorer fuel efficiency and the gas tank pressures might be higher than usual.

Ok, thanks, do you happen to know if there are any electrical connections between the ECU and the rear of the car or is it all in the engine bay? This happened (I'm assuming coincidentally) the same time I have been tearing about my interior panels and seats. I'm 95% sure I connected everything back but maybe I missed something?

WTF

There are all sorts of electrical connections there.

There's the fuel pump wiring, fuel level sensors, rear lights, speakers... just to name a few.

I'm not 100% sure where the EVAP purge valve is in turbo cars, but I would check the connections there first. Also, check the factory service manual to find out how to test the valve for functionality.

I know that. We were talking about the Evap system, so I was attempting to imply the question towards electrical connections of that system but I should have stated that. (BTW as far as I know, the speakers are not connected to the ECU ;) ) Anyways, I did find one that I missed that could be the problem. After I drive around tonight, I will report back and post if my issue was fixed or not.
