LOL it might have if I knew what an EVAP system fault was?

31 consists of
Evaporative purge solenoid / Clogged purge line / Vacuum hose / Evaporative emission canister clogged
hope this helped :thumb:

Also if that was the problem wouldn't my car be running shitty and stuff because it's not, it's running just as normal as can be but it seems a bit slower is the only difference I can see or feel

how many miles on the car? "Evaporative emission canister clogged" Maybe a bad cat.

My car's in really good condition looks wise but I don't think the guy took care of it much before me because I got it it's a 97 and has only 65k miles on it and I took it to get checked the other weekend the guy told me that it has never EVER had a radiator flush and it need a oil change really bad and he didn't do shit maintance wise

I couldent have said it any better myself, check your cat could be goin out, they do that when they got alot of miles on them, or if you replaces your stock cat for a "high flow cat" off of e bay or some place like that its not really a cat just a test pipe, and it will cause the same error code hope i helped :thumb:

Doug99RS here since I still don't have internet at home, don't hate on Lando for this thread response.

The evaporative emissions system does not include the catalytic convertor. The vapor canistor rarely gets clogged (In six years as a Chrysler mechanic, I've never seen one), and evap emissions has NO affect on driveability unless there is a vacuum line loose going to the purge solenoid or LDP pump. The evaporative emissions codes normally come up for one of only a few reasons. The most prevelant is an evaporative emissions leak. This could be the gas cap, a hard plastic or rubber hose, or a cracked evap system component. The next would be a failing solenoid or pump. Most of the times you won't find a pinched hose unless you just did a repair/work to the car. Please read that post and do a search on "Evaporative emissions" by "Doug99RS" and you will find TONS of posts about this system and the typical types of failures.
