The enlightenment: Fresh build (performance in mind). I had a respectable machinist to do the work on my head and block. I had the WORKS done, fully line-honed, balanced, etc. My price tag was real nice. Most of my mods are listed in my profile, but if you need to know something just ask, I'll be checkin this all throughout the day as my build was completed nearly 2 years ago and I've driven it for 15 days...I'm desperate and near ready to throw the towel in...

The Story: So I had the car running in April of '09..for the second time. the car was flawless. It cranked, started, and DROVE amazing. I putt-putted around and got the 500 break-in miles. Well, if you noticed DROVE in the previous sentence, if I was not using any throttle, in ex: clutching to come to a stop sign, the car would stall and shut off if I did not just simply pat the gas. Weird?

I was driving to Dairy Queen and clutched it, put the car in neutral. I was at a 20mph roll and I think it was a backfire (and a metallic noise?) So I had to push the car across the other 2 lanes in the busiest intersection (Wal-Mart).

The CEL: So now I'm tryin to get the car to crank. It won't. It spits and sputters, diesels back, backfires, everything besides starting. Great. I had it towed. It has been spittin and sputterin for 6 more months. I got the CEL 0340: CAS circuit malfunction.

Attempts to Fix: I replaced the CAS. Nothing. Throws the CEL again. I trace my wires and found nothing. I checked coils and wires. Nothing. Got a much stouter battery. Nothing. My crank angle sensor plate was showing wear like it was scraping the sensor with each pass. Being a 2G, I also replaced my crank angle sensor (pain in my ass) to try and resolve CEL 0340 and possibility of other sensor wearing out.

The Bad (or worse): I got the new crank angle sensor in and attempted to start the car. It was hittin and then backfired bad and I heard a metallic noise. I'm not for sure if it was because I was in my garage with the doors down or something....popped...

So here I am. I am stuck, frustrated, pissed off, desperate... I don't know.

What are the effects of broken springs? I may have popped some springs. I'm gonna check this out a little later today. I feel I have eradicated an electrical problem and bad sensor. Crankwalk is not in my head... :shhh:

Help:cry:

Mods weren't updated at time of post. They are now exact!!!!!

Any ideas? Anybody? >.<

Springs and everything checked out. Turns out, someone had tampered with my coil packs and they were complete opposite. So I ran 1-4 as 2-3 and 2-3 as 1-4 and she started right up.

However,I had the clutch cut line wired into the ecu and the clutch sensor. I had no problems with it. Now that I have my problems fixed, the car will start but it's as if the ECU is reading the car is launching. So as soon as I start the car it tries launching (revving to 4500-5000rpms like its supposed to do WHEN ENABLED). I need to know why it's doing this when I to start the car. I no longer have the clutch cut wire installed and wire capped the factory lines the way they should be. I logged a couple of tries if you want me to post them up also. I need help!!!
